Ter Haar holds lecture for the European section of the World Organisation of Workers

On 1 September 2011 Beryl ter Haar held a lecture about the European Youth Policy in Barcelona at a seminar titled: "Social Dialogue and Youth: A love/hate relationship” organized by the European Organization of World Organization of Workers & The European Centre for Workers' Questions with support of the European Commission.

In her lecture Beryl dealt with different perspectives on youth policy of the EU and the different ways in which the policy is developed, such as directives, resolutions, action programmes and the open method of coordination. The discussion focused on how the social dialogue should and could be effectuated in the policy and lawmaking processes on European as well as national level.
