Curriculum Vitae
Silvia Romein (LL.M) studied law at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, where she graduated cum laude in 2002, and at Leiden University, where she graduated cum laude in 2003. After her studies she worked at the European Law Department of the Erasmus University Rotterdam for two and a half years, and in October 2006 she joined the Europa Institute of Leiden University as a PhD fellow. The topic of her PhD research is the Court of Justice of the European Communities, with a focus on ensuring proper judicial protection for the European citizen.
