- The central question of this research is: how can the National ombudsman contribute to improving the police organization and the public prosecution service? The first questions to be addressed are: What is the position of the National ombudsman within the criminal law? Which requirements of proper governance has the national ombudsman developed for the police and the public prosecution service? And what is the merit of these requirements?
The second part of the research will address the questions: What is the effectiveness of the judgments of the National ombudsman for future actions of the police and the public prosecution service? And how can this be improved? The third part of the research will be a comparative study.
