Leiden team runner-up in European rounds WTO Moot Court

A team from Leiden Law School ended 2nd in the 10th edition of the ELSA Moot Court competition on WTO law, taking place in Muenster from 12-15 March.

The team consisting of Cigdem Cimrin (Advanced LLM European and International Business Law) and Tinatin Tsanava (Advanced LLM Public International Law) and is coached by Barbara Cooreman (docent European Law) thereby qualified for the international finals in May in Montpellier, where the best teams from the Asian-Pacific round and the all-American round will plead against each other.

The moot court this year focuses with the interplay between trade and environment, and in particular deals with differentiated tariff duties, countervailing duties and safeguard measures under WTO law.
