Mission
The mission of the centre is to develop and transfer an inventory of knowledge and expertise on regulating models and instruments, which can contribute to a worldwide sustainable information society. The centre aims to connect to the principles of the action plan established at the Geneva World Summit on the Information Society.    
Core activities
The core functions of the centre are education and research in the field of Law and ICT. The task of the centre is to educate and research in the fields of IT-law and law and informatics. IT-law is the set of rules and regulations concerning (and consequence of) legal regulations and questions with regard to use of computers and software. Law and informatics is the discipline of legal and academic questions concerning use of information systems when assisting with legal tasks.
